Background Music and Paging Systems
Overview

Whether you want to set the proper mood in your fine dining establishment, let your employees jam while they are doing inventory, tell your store customers about your great bargains using professionally recorded commercials, or simply give the receptionist a better way to let someone know that the next big sale is waiting in the lobby, background music and paging systems are inexpensive, easy to use, and can blend in with any decor.
We Recommend
For commercial installations, we recommend a high-voltage (70volt) system instead of a typical consumer-grade 8ohm system. 70-volt systems are designed to carry the signals to the speakers a much longer distance and the wiring used in 70-volt systems is inexpensive and easy to obtain for plenum ceilings. Since every system is going to be tailored to the customers' unique needs, we highly recommend calling a professional such as eFusion Systems to aid in the design of the system from the very beginning.
Pricing
We want you to be as informed as possible while making a decision about obtaining a product or service from us. That is why we have included the pricing information below. Prices listed here are typical and can vary based your unique situtation.
- Initial Consultation and Design: As with all of our products and services, the initial consultation is free! Additionally, if we need to customize the design to your specific needs, there is no additional charge!
- Product Costs: Amplifiers can range from $50 to $5000 or more! Speakers cost from $10 each to over $200 each! Since there is such a wide variety of choice for each system, it is impossible for us to provide more details without performing a site-survey and asking a bunch of questions.
- Installation Services: Typical systems cost around $100 per speaker to install (this includes wiring).
- Training Services: We will provide a single on-site training session (up to 4 hours) with the person responsible for using and/or maintaining the system at no extra charge. Of course we will be happy to answer any basic questions that may come up after the training session via phone or e-mail for free as well!
- Support Services:
Warranty Support- Includes replacement of hardware through an RMA process with the manufacturer. Labor costs are not included in warranty support unless the product fails due to our mistake (which is very rare). Labor pricing is based on whether or not you choose one of our support plans.
Non-Warranty Support- If the product warranty has expired and the manufacturer will not provide an RMA, we will provide a quote for the total cost of replacing the product (including labor and materials). Once again, our labor pricing will depend on whether or not you choose one of our support plans.
Did you know???

Check out the following tidbits of information related to this technology or service! The more you know about something, the more likely you are to make good, informed decisions when it comes time to implement it!
- Commercial audio systems are very different than home audio systems. They typically use much higher voltage but much lower amperage, have many more speakers distributed throughout the space, and are subject to commercial building standards such as the requirement of plenum-grade materials.
- Be very careful about what audio sources you use with your system. Even if purchased, music broadcast over your system requires an additional license for public consumption. Many different vendors provide this licensed service for a monthly fee to help you avoid getting fined by the FCC!
